RBI launches website to explain detection of fake currency

    RBI Fake notes website

Seeking to spread awareness among public about fake notes, the Reserve Bank has launched a website explaining ways to detect counterfeit notes.

With a tagline ‘Pehchano Paise Ki Boli, Kyunki Paisa Bolta Hai’, the website — www.paisaboltahai.rbi.org.in — gives visual presentation with pointers on currency notes of 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 rupee denominations.

Consumers have the option to download posters of these currency notes, which can be used as reference to identify counterfeit notes. A documentary film on it can also be downloaded.

The link for this website is available on RBI’s main website as well.

The site also gives details of the number of fake currency notes detected.

    22,000 Indian illegals in Kuwait

As per the latest report from Kuwait Immigration department, there are nearly 22000 illegal Indian immigrants in Kuwait. India comes second after Bangladesh who have got 24000 illegal immigrants.

Considering the fact that we have more than 650,000 indians in Kuwait, 22000 looks a bit less to me. And the definition of illegal includes all those people who have valid residency to stay in Kuwait but are working for another employer.

    Printo at ITPL Road

Some printing work led me to Printo at ITPL Road. I have heard about the excellent print services they were offering, but never got a chance to visit them. So I took this opportunity to get my printing job done at Printo.

Printo office is located at the junction of ITPL Road, near to Shell Petrol Station. It is behind Citibank ATM. With enough parking space, the place is located on the main road to Hoodi from Kundalahalli.

    Chamunda Travels, Manali to Delhi

    chamunda

During our recent trek trip to Manali, we had to take the Volvo AC bus from Manali back to Delhi. Since we couldn’t book through Redbus, we had to book it on Chamunda Travels as suggested by our travel agent. Didn’t find any reviews on the Net, and I had to go with the recommendations of the travel agent.

The worst experience I have ever had was in this trip. We were a group of 11, so it was arranged to pick us up from our camp area at 5PM. The bus arrived at 6PM, and we were into our journey. Once inside the bus, we started feeling the real service. The cleaner and the driver were really rude. Some of the seats didn’t have blankets. The blankets provided to some of us were torn. No drinking water, which nowadays is taken for granted in all Volvo buses.

Curry and Dosas, Ascendas Mall, ITPL

Ascendas Mall at ITPL Bangalore was opened recently, and was curious to visit this mall. They have good shops and more popular brands are opening their stores soon. Accessibility to the mall is easy and they have a good parking lot.

Curry and Dosas is a restaurant located in the 3rd Floor of the mall. What  I could get from their menu is that they serve affordable dosas and different curries. That’s the only information I can get, as we were not allowed to enter the restaurant – the reason – it is closed. And the time was 9pm on a weekend.

What was more surprising is the attitude of the person who introduced himself as the owner of the place. He was so rude, and was so arrogant in his way of handling customers. He was so rude in telling us that it is his decision to close the restaurant when he wants, and no one has any rights to ask him.

If you are opening a  restaurant in a new mall, you should be prepared to handle crowds on a weekend. It is obvious that there will be lot of visitors to any new mall which is opening. This kind of attitude is going to leave a very negative feedback. With the kind of argument I had with the owner, I am sure I am not going to visit Curry and Dosa and would advise anyone visiting Curry and Dosa to be prepared for such rude behavior.
