First Lego League conducted their annual competition at Bangalore in January. The event was held at JSS Academy of Education. This was my first visit to the event, as my son was participating in the tournament as part of Moonwalkers 4.0 team, which was one of the teams sponsored by SAP. There were more than 50 teams participating in the events, and looking at the crowd and the teams assembled, we knew it will be a long day.
If you are planning to book your bus tickets online, do check out redbus.in. Their website is one of the best to book tickets online. And they do have cash on delivery option, which is quite useful if you don’t want to use online banking.
Even though had a bad experience once, when the bank transaction succeeded and the booking was not confirmed, it made me experience their customer support actions. First, I had to submit them an online statement from my bank, then the ticket details, then failed transaction details, etc… And the final answer was that the ticket booking, in my case, Kadamba Travels to Goa, has to be contacted. Repeated calls to Kadamba travels didn’t yield any result, and I had to abandon the chase of getting my money back.
I would recommend to check their cash on delivery option, and now am a big fan of this option. They cover lots of destination and have range of buses to each destination.

Wondering why our Corporator and MLA’s photo is displayed in all the banners which have been put up for this occasion in the layout. It has become a norm now to attach a politicians photo for each and every event.
More about posters in another post….

If you are thinking of purchasing a used car via the internet, you are most likely going to buy a car from a private individual or through free classified ads. Nowadays, the law protects the market of used cars more than in the past thanks to guarantees valid also on web ads. The UE in 2002 stated as a Community law (1999/44 CE) that whoever – dealer or individual – selling second hand vehicles must provide a one year-length guarantee.
However, to protect yourself against problems with your purchase, the first thing to do is to drive the car for one hour. During that time the car will have to face acceleration, braking, quick steering and uphill driving. Try every equipment in the car: indicators, lights, headlights, full beams, break lights, emergency indicator, handbrake, fan and/or conditioning. See if the mileage (generally the lower is better) matches the vehicles conditions. In this case, the dates of the past services on the registration booklet can help understanding if the mileage was faked. The engine must not send out too much exhaust, nor has to make loud noise. You also have to check the registration document and see when the car must have the next service.
The upholstery, especially in the back seats, must be checked to see there are no stains or holes in it. See how the seats look under their cover case. Fixing car mats is not expensive, though it is to replace seats, pedals or the steering wheel.
Ask if the car had accidents and where. The best thing to do in that case is to be accompanied in the check by a panel beater who can see possible flaws in the coachwork.
There is something in this song, that makes you keep humming it. And as Dhanush told in a interview recently, it must be the way he has sung this song, as he is also a bathroom singer like most of us. The song has captured the whole nation, and has become an overnight craze. Even Chamak Chalo (Akon) from Ra-One has to take a back seat, and is the 2nd most popular video in Youtube. Way to go Dhanush.
Lyrics are too good, and catchy. You just would like to listen this again and again.
